You may use skirting boards or floor beading.Today I will introduce a less used one. The method, at least I haven’t seen any videos like this on YouTube but this method is very common in Taiwan.
Seal laminate flooring edges with silicone
8-10mm is a very wide distance
it can not be directly filled with Silicone.
If it is filled directly
it will also cause the laminate flooring to have no space for expansion and contraction.
Therefore, we must first insert the PE foam.
Flexibility, so that the laminate floorings can be stretched, Silicone is hit on the top of the PE foam.
Choose correct color silicone for flooring
In order to make Silicone look more natural, it is very important to choose the correct color of Silicone.
Generally, you should look for a color close to the laminate flooring, or you can choose the color of the wall.
Tape
8-10mm is a big gap.
Silicone can’t put it on directly, so it must be taped.
If the tape is straight, Silicone will look straight.
Tape on the floor and tape on the wall.
The tape on the wall will generally leave 3mm.
So that the silicone can hit the wall about 3mm, it can be firmer, and overall, if there is a curvature, it will be more beautiful.
After the silicone is finished, remove the tape.
